Planning built to run — not just to launch
We implement and manage Anaplan and Pigment across every planning function — commissions, FP&A, workforce, territory & quota, and more. With senior people on every engagement, in both platforms.
Six planning use cases.
Two platforms. One team.
Most planning consultants specialize in one platform. We've built every one of these use cases in both Anaplan and Pigment — and can give you an honest read on which fits your situation better.
Annual planning and monthly reforecasting are where most FP&A teams lose the most time. We build the infrastructure that makes your planning cycle faster — connecting your actuals, assumptions, and scenarios so your team spends less time in spreadsheets and more time on analysis.
- Annual budget build with departmental input workflows
- Monthly reforecast cadence with actuals integration
- Variance analysis: budget vs. actual vs. prior forecast
- Scenario modeling with fast toggle (bull / base / bear)
- AI-assisted forecast modeling (Pigment) or ML-driven predictions (Anaplan)
We build revenue planning models that give your CRO and CFO a shared view of the business — connecting pipeline coverage, bookings assumptions, churn drivers, and expansion motion into a unified forecast that the whole go-to-market team actually trusts.
- ARR waterfall: new, expansion, churn, and net retention
- Pipeline-to-bookings translation with coverage assumptions
- Scenario modeling across upside, base, and downside
- Segment-level visibility (SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise)
- Rolling forecast cadence that replaces the annual plan cycle
Full income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow — integrated and driver-based. We build 3-statement models that link your operating assumptions directly to financial outputs, so your CFO sees the P&L impact of every hiring plan, pricing change, and revenue assumption in real time.
- Integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow model
- Driver-based expense modeling (headcount, COGS, G&A)
- Actuals integration from ERP (NetSuite, Sage, Workday)
- Board-ready output views and variance reporting
- Rolling 12-month and multi-year forecast horizons
Headcount is usually the single largest line item in a SaaS company's expense base. We build workforce planning models that give Finance and HR a shared view of current headcount, open roles, hiring timing, and the full cost impact — connected to your revenue and margin assumptions.
- Active headcount, open requisitions, and hiring pipeline
- Compensation modeling: base, bonus, equity, benefits fully loaded
- Department-level planning with manager approvals workflow
- HRIS integration (Workday, BambooHR, Rippling)
- Attrition modeling and backfill planning
Territory and quota planning done well connects your go-to-market model directly to rep assignments, coverage ratios, and attainment expectations. We build the models that let RevOps and Finance align on quotas before they hit Salesforce — and iterate without starting over.
- Account and territory segmentation models
- Bottoms-up and tops-down quota allocation frameworks
- Capacity planning by segment and region
- What-if modeling for GTM restructures
- Integration with CRM data (Salesforce, HubSpot)
Commission calculation engines are one of the hardest things to get right in connected planning — and one of the highest-value. We build full end-to-end compensation engines: from plan logic and attainment tracking to payout calculation, rep visibility portals, and dispute management workflows.
- Multi-tier commission plan logic and overrides
- Attainment tracking against quota, adjusted in real time
- Dispute management and approval workflows
- Rep-facing visibility: what they've earned, what they'll earn
- Finance and Sales alignment on accruals and payouts
Implementation or managed services — or both
Every engagement starts with a scoping conversation. We don't assume you need a full implementation or a full managed service retainer. We scope what you actually need.
A scoped, time-bound engagement to design and build your planning model from scratch — or rebuild an existing one that's outgrown itself. We work iteratively with your team, run parallel testing before go-live, and ensure your FP&A team can maintain and evolve the model independently after handoff.
- Scoping and current-state assessment
- Model design and architecture in Anaplan or Pigment
- Integration build with your source systems
- UAT, parallel testing, and go-live support
- Team training and documentation at handoff
- 30-day post-launch support window
A retainer engagement for ongoing model evolution, support, and new use case rollouts. For many of our clients, the first implementation is just the beginning — their business changes, and they want a partner who can evolve the model without requiring a new scoped project every time something shifts.
- Ongoing model changes as your business evolves
- New use case rollouts without starting from scratch
- Integration maintenance and data connection monitoring
- Planning cycle support during budget and reforecast seasons
- Performance optimization as model complexity grows
- Available for Anaplan, Pigment, or both if you run a hybrid stack
From first call to model in production
We don't rush to a proposal. Most engagements move through a few conversations before we've scoped anything — because the quality of the scope depends on understanding your situation well.
30–60 minutes. We learn your current state: what platform you're on or evaluating, what's not working, and where you want to land. You get a read on us. We'll tell you upfront if we're not the right fit or if a different approach makes more sense.
If you're evaluating Anaplan or Pigment and want to see the platform before committing to a scope, we'll show you what it actually looks like built out — not a vendor marketing demo, but a working model in the use case area you care about.
A second, more detailed call where we get into the specifics: data sources and integrations, current model architecture, who the stakeholders are, and what "done" really means. This is where we identify scope risks and surface the questions that would otherwise turn into surprises mid-project.
We send a specific, tight proposal: deliverables, timeline, and pricing. If something is out of scope, we say so explicitly. No ambiguity about what you're buying — and no change orders for things we should have seen coming.
We build iteratively with your team — weekly check-ins, working sessions as needed, and early access to builds so you can give feedback before anything is locked. Senior people on every session. We don't hand work to junior staff once the engagement starts.
Parallel testing, UAT with your team, and a structured handoff with documentation your team can actually use. We stay close for the first 30 days. Most clients are running the model independently within a month — that's the goal.
