Reduce Anaplan Model Size & Increase Performance

A global SaaS company with $500M in annual revenue needed to reduce the size of their Anaplan models. Due to lack of space, the Anaplan admins had to pick & choose which models to archive when adding new enhancements.

After investigating the current model, we eliminated unnecessary summary methods, simplified the module structure, & created an dual hierarchy system—one dense hierarchy for calculations and one functional hierarchy for reporting.

The Anaplan implementation resulted in a significant reduction of space, with the Anaplan model taking up only 8 gigabytes, compared to the previous system which required 50 gigabytes of storage. The SaaS company used this new space to add enhancements with ease & create a new Sales Forecasting model without needing to expand their workspace.
